It has been my experience that you don't want to put oily, greasy parts in
carb cleaner. It not only ruins expensive carb cleaner, it doesn't cut the
grease. Cleaning oily parts first in solvent or a 'Gunk' tank, drying and
THEN placing them in carb cleaner works best.
Carb cleaner works best on dried caked on material and varnish.
