I agree. ABS is a relatively brittle plastic. It won't "give" much 
before breaking. I see guys extolling the virtues of ABS spoilers and 
wonder what they're talking about. Polyurethane would be a much better 
material as it has plenty of flexibility before breaking. ABS is 
strong, but how much strength is needed here? Flexibility is the key to 
a good long-lasting spoiler.
