Just a suggestion... what I do..

If you use are using outlook or some other local (on your Hard Drive) email
program,  First go to your IPS and glance at the list of mail subjects
there.  Most of them have a way to check off those that you consider spam or
dangerous and report them (also deleting them at the ISP).

Then, go to your email program and only bring in to your computer only the
ones that looked safe to you.

Attachments are scanned with anti-virus software.
