my rampy is presently running 180 heads with carbs and was like that on the 
trip to carlisle because it was what i had ready to run(the 140 heads dropped a 
valve guide) it runns down the road just fine with 52 jets and a powerglide. 
i will be putting the redone 140 heads back on soon. i added the balance tubes 
and chokes from junk heads i had.  i was surprised at how nice it runs, very 
smooth and idles down to under 500 rpm .  there is no apparent "lope" to it at 
idle.  just a little less snap but not that bad. i did this years ago on a 64 
convert but left it std and it was fine. i think it would be the same as 
running with smog 110 heads on regular 110 pistons?  regards tim colson
ps: when i get time to change it back the 180 heads will be for sale.
