I blasted into town this morning through the crisp mountain air,
Flowmasters thundering, crows and coyotes scattering at the sound of my
passing!! I can look out my office window and see PC sitting there calmly
awaiting my return for the evening blast back over the Sandias, her purple
interior glowing in the warm morning sun!! And it is purple guys, really!!

We have a car show Sunday at the Albuquerque Museum for anyone who wants
to join us...open show and all kinds of cars will be there...we like to
think they stop longest at our little pocket of automobile history but we
don't really care!! Its a chance to enjoy a breakfast burrito with green
chile (great debate item if you are a New Mexican...green or red) with
friends and even see a little art in the museum!! Life couldn't be much
better!

It's mid-morning, Friday, 5/14, and I'm here in my office, like most
working stiffs.

As I type, my friends and many others are lapping the East Course at Pocono
Raceway in their Corvairs and in their other cars, only 100 miles from
where I sit. Over 45 drivers registered for this year's NECC event.

And I'm stuck here, my Corvair ready to go but languishing.

* sigh *

The bright spot is, tomorrow, Saturday, is the companion all-Corvair show
at Gray Chevrolet in Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, and I'll be there!
