<VV> trunk lock

I just got my 62 Monza, but it came without a trunk key.
What is the easiest and best way (yes, I thought about a Harley Davidson
wrench) to get into the trunk of a locked Corvair?  The car has no lock
mechanism on the glove box to compare.  Someone suggested removing the
headlight assembly and trying to reach the mechanism, but my forearms don't
fit through holes very well.
I can get a locksmith to come out and pick it, but it will be expensive.  Even
destroying the lock might be acceptable but I have to fix the brakes.
