Everybody is searching for a high tech solution to a problems and he solved
it with a substance that's, probably, been around longer than all of us.

The only problem with vaseline is it is a petroleum product. There is the
chance that an arc will go through it and start forming carbon and once you
start forming carbon, guess what? You start forming more carbon and you have a
carbon track and a miss.
Dielectric silicone is the best to use.
