Smitty says:  This is a myth to me and will remain so untill someone
shows me some facts.  Synthetic oil will protect your engine if it gets
hotter than is safe with Dino oil.  I have used the stuff and I have
never seen a temperature drop that was measurable from doing so.  Darn
sure get a 20 degree drop from removing the lower shrouds though
