<VV> Tires--Can you top this??

In the late 30s, my friends used to go to North Island NAS and get FREE  worn 
Grumman  (I think)fighter tires for out Model As. They had to get some 15 
inch wheels (as I recall spoked) but the streamed line 'ballons' locked mighty 
SHARP  (not COOL, cause that wasnt invented back then) but not too good for drag 
racing. . Yeah my Cabrolet with 6 wire wheels , rumble seat and a flat 
crank/burned valve, cost $ 145  After that I wiszed up and got my ragtop Spyder for 
$20 bucks less. Ted (bragging in AZ)
