Sorry it's taken me so long to reply. I'll post this to the list in case 
anyone else needs the info.

10-1/2" from the front of the door to the front of the mirror
2-1/8" from the edge of the rubber around vent window to the centerline of 
the mirror at front

this is on a 64 Monza witha factory (bowtie) side mirror-it seems kind of 
"too far back" for me, but would interfere with the vent window opening if 
it was any further forward.
