That side is running rich...or the carb has water in it....otherwise it's plug / wire / Dist Cap... Timing...makes no difference where the dist goes # 1 is #1 and the rest of the wires follow.. Only the amount of adjustment depends on the placement of the wires. I'll bet you weren't on #1 and the timing was retarded [ 60 deg. per cyl.] simple! Matt
