<VV> another weird corvair problem. it is lights this time

I've got another weird maybe headlight problem.  Every time I park my 
Spyder in the garage at night it smells like an electrical fire moved 
in.  My wife an I are certain it is from the headlight area.  Yet the 
lights work perfectly.  I replaced all the bulbs and checked all the wiring 
for shorts.  The smell does not appear if I park in the daytime (e.g. no 
lights).  I cannot imagine how it could smell so bad and have everything 
work properly.  Any ideas?
