Where are you located? Here at our shop, we do old not running Corvairs
all the time. We have three in here now and all need floorboards. Our
experience with cars that have been setting a long time is that the whole
brake system should be replaced. All kinds of nasty things happen to a
system that has not been activated for a while. Although the brakes may
seem to work, if you blow a rusty brake line, you may be in for greater
expense than the cost to replace the system. ( hitting a solid object ! )
The next would be to get rid of all the old gas throughout the system.
Old gas can clog up filters and create sedement eventually pluging carb
jets.
