Good one, Chuck.

It's a cream puff with a new battery, following days of flustered efforts to reset the onboard computer--a procedure he didn't know existed, but is detailed in the owner's manual.

The clincher was locking himself out with the the engine running.  Had to break a window into the house to retrieve the spare.  This despite, or because of, keyless entry.  (The car, not the house.)

*sigh*
