Okay...

I can only echo Mike's comments about how nice this little show was, and
how nice the Wake Robin Inn was, and how nicely it came together with the
help of Bob Scheidel.

At the same time, I must echo Brian O'Neill's comments that the NECC can
really use a few volunteers to assist with show matters. Right now, the
organization is dominated by the "drivers," who focus on the track events.

Speaking of the track, the Lime Rock track event this past weekend was
particularly enjoyable for me because (a) the top three Corvairs ran within
three-quarters of a second of one another, (b) my car finally completed a
Lime Rock event without an engine failure, (c) I beat Terry Stafford (okay,
he ran in the rain and I ran in the dry), (d) Geoff Flynn once again ran
faster than seems possible in an early model sedan, (e) Bill Hughes served
notice that he is a factor with which to be reckoned, (f) it was nearly an
even mix of earlies and lates, and (g) there were no incidents to speak of.

And one more thing: No place is prettier than Lime Rock in mid-October.
