i have been able to fish a new tubing thru behind the tank on several cars.  
pre bend a 45 on  the start end and push it thru...it will work. i put 
silicone rubber dobbers on both ends to tie it down to the body. i pull the old one 
out first and use it to figure the length.  put about 4-6 inches extra(easy to 
get rid of)  i cant remeber but it is a standard length so no extra double 
flare needed.  you can get the old one out with a quick yank. it is under about 3 
clips. blow out the tube after pushinbg it thru to make sure you did not pick 
up any tar paper chunks. it works  well on earlys and lates.
