<VV> Vertical bumper guards

Jeff,

The bumper guards were optional and they're an easy add-on to an existing
car without them.  If you find the guards, be sure you get the brackets for
them, too.  If you want pictures of a car with the guards, let me know and
I'll send them to you.

In my search for a second-gen Corvair, I have noticed that some have
vertical crhrome bumper guards on front and back, and some do not. Can
anyone fill me in on this? Was it an option? If a car is equipped with
them, is it an entirely different bumper, or are they removable parts?
