Wrong again, Bill.

Lates are cooler than earlies, even without a/c. But an Air 'Vair is 
cooler than any lesser Corvair!

Lates also were improved, with integrated dash vents AND an OUTSIDE 
fresh air intake, while the earlies only have a recirculating system and 
an under-dash mounting. To paraphrase Mae West: "When I'm an early Air 
'Vair, I'm good, but when I'm a late Air 'Vair, I'm even better."
