<VV> Engine flush

For what it's worth, I think the engine flush made by Amsoil is excellent. It does not remove as much of the crud in one fell swoop as one might like, but it leaves your main bearings in considerably better shape than with more abrasive measures such as kerosene.
I examined two engines that we flushed using this product only for curiosity. I observed the same results on both.
On one, a Jeep 4 liter straight 6, the owner had an enormous amount of sludge under the valve cover. We scraped out a great deal and then flushed it. After the treatment, we removed the oil pan and valve cover and witnessed a great improvement. The owner seemed to think it worked OK but he was disappointed that it wasn't squeaky clean. Attempts to explain why it was not squeaky clean fell on deaf ears. The heavy sludge in the oil pan was not removed either, as I expected. The sludge that had been apparent in and around the oil filter housing was gone however. Oil pressure with the new synthetic oil was good and it continued running well for several years.
