<VV> Regreasing EM axle bearings

Hi Andy,
It's coming back to me now! The splash shield is the stamped piece of aluminum, right? Too soft and stuck on the axle and a bear to get off cleanly. It is only pressed on but corrosion and gunk hold it pretty securely in place. I recommend taking PB Blaster, Kroil or Seafoam Deep Creep (BEST!) and lube really well, work very slowly with one or two long screwdrivers or levers to avoid distortion. Work just a little at a time on each side to get it to slide off. Clean the corrosion and junk off as well as you can. What a POS.
