Doh!  Rear tires!!!  You have been driving Corvairs for so long  that you 
forgot what a burnout sounds like! Perhaps you need to reduce your  nitrous

there is a really LOUD screeching noise from the rear of the  car -- (No, 
it's not an owl)..  I have concluded that it isn't the  throwout bearing
