<VV> Electric fuel pump installation

I am in the process of converting my 62 from a manual to an electric fuel
pump. Can anyone give me suggestions on where and how to install it? I have
heard the tunnel is the best and to use an inline style, but I am having
issues with placement. For obvious reasons I want to completely avoid the
e-brake cable and the pedal linkage. Also where is the best place to wire it
to the oil pressure switch and still maintain the stock appearance? My block
is an early 62 and has the pressure switch on the side of the block, inside
the shrouding. Clark's has an install kit with instructions, but I am not
interested in the stock pump plug since I will be using the fake fuel pump
insert to maintain the stock look. $33 is too much for the kit for my
purposes. Does anyone have a copy of their documentation showing suggested
placement? I have tried to fit it just after the fuel tank, but getting a
filter before the pump while still being able to fit the pump in a safe
place is proven to be more of a challenge than I expected. My pump is the
Carter variety with a short fuel line between the pump and the filter. I
have thought of placing the fuel filter 5 inches from the sender and cutting
the metal fuel line in the tunnel and mounting the pump about mid way back.

Don't want to start a flame war about mechanical vs. electric, I just have
my reasons why I want to do this. I am probably making it more difficult
than it really needs to be, just want to do it right.
