Good job Mr. Armer. I suppose I should name mine dearth since I 'only' got 93.34 this year. On the plus side, I am catching up to you.

Subject: <VV> Clean-up for Concours

Since Darth Vair has attended and competed in Concours in
1998,2000,2001,2003,2004
and a CORSA regional this year 2005, We have competed in 2 NECC speed
events BEFORE
the Concours. These were at Blackhawk race track in Rockton, Illinois and
Clay City dragstrip
in Kentucky. Yes it took a bit more time to prep a Senior car after
competing in both events but open
trailering hundreds of miles before the conventions usually results in all
the prior hard work being undone
by unavoidable weather conditions or some other encounters with dirt,
smoke, dust, or bugs commiting
suicide in kamakaze fashion. Darth should have achieved a Gold designation
in 1998 at the Collinsville/ St.
Louis convention but since then has scored at least 95 points or higher in
every Concours. So if you really
want to have fun in speed events, do it and plan on spending a bit more
time cleaning up for Concours.

2001 Chicago 95.48
2004 Lexington 97.86

ps. As I have said before, You can have a Senior Concours Corvair and
compete in speed events. Darth Vair
has now participated in 9 national speed events including the 1998
convention autocross.
