Sorry to hear so many negative comments about Corvette Guys. I plan to buy
one myself in a couple of years. I live in Lexington, KY, about a two
hour's drive from the Corvette Museum and the assembly plant. I have
visited both sites on numerous occasions. On my first visit, the Southeast
Corvette Club, (can't remember full name) was having a convention at the
museum. I had a great time visiting with them. Then a couple of years ago
on my way back from Wyoming, I noticed tons of Vettes headed east. I
finally got to talk to one guy at a gas station in Kansas City, and he told
me everyone was headed to Bowling Green for the 50th anniversary
celebration. (2003) After arriving home and unpacking the car, we turned
around the next day and headed to B.G. for the festivities. I have always
enjoyed their company.

In my opinion, they aren't all that different from us. We are probably the
nuttiest guys on the planet with one of the most enjoyable cars ever built,
if not a little quirky. They on the other hand are pursuing the only true
production sports car built in America, and are constantly getting berated
by even snobbier owners of exotic European models. I'd take a Corvette any
day over the European or even Japanese sports cars.

Just my two cents.
