<VV> Speedometer and Oddometer differences

If you take the speedometer apart, you will more than likely find a worm gear affair that drives it. Both the worm gear and the part that it turns are subject to both wear and binding due to the grease having hardened. Either (or both) will cause the odometer to slip and the readings to differ. I am pretty sure Clark's has parts to repair it. If you do it yourself be extremely careful. The spring on the speedometer arm is very fragile and easy to destroy. Best to practice on a used one out of the car before under taking your good one.
