Grant,  I'm with you on this...  Quite likely a plug wire or vacuum hose 
preventing a full return of the throttle on at least one side of the engine. 
It gets crowded in there on a 140 and careful routing of wires and hoses is 
needed.

Attachments (if any) are scanned with anti-virus software.
