Alternative idea. Tell your boss about the LT1 Fiero that Larry Claypool took me for a ride in. The car looked completely stock and even if you saw the 
Corvette injected LT1 under the hood you'd think it belonged there. 

Convince your boss he NEEDS a ride like this...and then he could take on Corevttes.

You'd get the credit for the idea, get to ride in the car (and maybe even drive it), and there would be no shame in him beating you since it's a highly modifed 
car.

The other idea is to LET him beat you. He is the boss and the conduit for your continued collection of Corvair accumlation and modification funds. ;-)
