If the friction additive is indeed moly, this could be real real good ...
moly sticks to metals bigtime, and I have always thought about dousing my
corvair with a sprinkling of moly every oil-add occasion, but never quite
had the nerve, because of the thought of moly plating the spark plugs ...
because I didn't know how much to add ... we use moly in many applications
in our machine shop, and VERY LITTLE goes a long ways and lasts forever ....
Assuming Mobil etc. have worked out the proper amounts this could be a major
step forward.

In most applications, moly has a self-regulating characteristic that results
in only what is needed building up ( actually in ) the metal ... any excess
is so slick that it is carried away in the ( oil flow ) ... that is, moly
would rather stick to metal than itself, so it is unusual that moly will
"build up" to any troublesome amount ......

If GF4 is available in Mobil1 or equivalent synthetic, I will be looking for
it and changing to it forthwith. and checking spark plugs ... they should
turn a beautiful shiny grey, will check for sparking ability from time to
time tho...

reargards, ken campbell, ... did you know the name of that song is really
Molly 'n Me, not Molly McGee ....
