Thanks for all the responses about stock Corvair clock speed adjustments. The 
high points seem to be: 1) They are "Tick-Tock" clocks which use a spring 
rewound by a solenoid; 2) To adjust the running speed, wait until the displayed 
time is at least 10-minutes removed from correct, then adjust; 3) After making 
this correction adjustment several times (preferably at the same time each 
occasion), the clock will "learn" the correct speed to use to maintain correct 
time. Hmmmm...Sounds reasonable.
