<VV> Piston weights

Bob Dunahugh just used his new piston balancer to weight some long and short 
skirt TRW .060 forged pistons. 
  The long skirt ones weighed 543 grams and the short ones 551 grams.
I would think that the 8 gram difference would be negligible in practice-- 
   .0145 %-- compared to rod weight differences. 
Bob thinks, and I tend to agree , that GM balanced the piston/rod assemblies 
in left to right pairs to save on rod balancing.
