<VV> 63 Differential into 64 FC?

After further investigation, I have determined that the growling/grinding
noise in my Greenbrier gets louder on deceleration and less loud on
acceleration.  Wide or sharp turns to either side make no difference in the
loudness or occurrence of the sound.

This appears to mean it is  replace the differential time.

I have had a gracious offer of a 63 unit which I would like to accept if the
63 and 64 units are the same (other than the transverse spring attachment,
which isnt used in the FC anyhow)

Will this swap will work?  Im going for function over originality as I drive
the vehicles, not show them.
