Interesting. A reitred tire store person in my local club described a
winterization process from years gone by that "improved" snow traction in
the winter. The story line says the customers were not allowed back in area
where the traction improvement was done, not for safety reasons, but because
of all the rubber that came flying off the tire. I'm going to have to dig
up that story.

> Tire siping is done to improve traction, braking, tire mileage, gas
mileage, ride and handling. Don't take my word for it. Check out
http://www.sipers.com/sipers/siping_tests.asp. Peerless Tyres offer this
service in many stores.
