My '60 4-door sedan still has what appears to be its original spare
tire. It's a 6:50x13. Shows some sidewall issues, fine cracks etc
but the tread is still solid with no cracks, holds air for a year
without weeping down. Two of the lates here still have their
original spare tires. They're both 7:00x13s. Ironically, both
these 35+ year old spare tires seem pretty solid, no serious rubber
rot or other evident flaws to reflect their age. One of them got
put to use on a road trip to a show, drove over 100 miles on the
ancient spare. No problems.

By the way, never in my life was I ever able to get 14 gallons of
fuel into a Vair (car) fuel tank regardless of how empty it was. I
did well to get much more than 11 gallons into them... less than
that, in the case of my '60.
