<VV> Pls Measure shifter differences 66-69

Cutting thru all this; it would be nice if folks would publish a lower 
shifter measurement between the center of the lower ball and the bottom of 
the fulcrum (half a hemisphere or half a "ball") on the shift lever. This is 
where any difference would have to be.

Please do keep in mind that shifter levers get switched for various reasons, 
often to change the leverage-to make the "throw" shorter. There are known 
folks on the list and elsewhere that have installed three speed shift levers 
on four speed trans cars, etc. Others are known to have modified shifters to 
move the fulcrum "ball" on the shifter so the effective leverage is changed 
.....

This would require a different height cast "tower" or base. All of the ones 
I have ever seen, including at least two Corsas and one Monza, are the same 
height (2nd owner of the Monza and knew the previous owner-stock shifter, 
etc.).

So be careful out there, in making your pronouncements
