after waking up and reading the problem more carefully i wonder if you have a 
rare capacitor problem or coil shorting out after heating up?  see if the 
coil is super hot to the touch when its acting up. if electronic ignition is 
involved bypass it for a trial run.
still need a fuel pressure check anyhow. does timing check ok cold?  hot? 
change in brightness of light hot?
