Yes.

As you probably suspect, they transmit more road noise.

They are usually considered a performance item.  Also, in some of the 
places where bushings go they will tend to bind the suspension.  No 
problem if you're also adding stiffer spring and shocks, but not really 
good on an otherwise stock car.
