It's pretty hard to screw up where thefive brake springs go; they're all a
different length.
The primary and secondary springs have one end longer than the other, and
the primary one is the longer of the two, as it has to hook onto the stud at
12 o'clock. The secondary one hooks on the self adjuster link, hence is
shorter. It's 'almost' impossible to reverse these.
The parking brake spring is smaller in diameter and isn't usually taken
apart. The bottom spring (at 6 o'clock) is unique.
And the self adjuster return spring is also unique at an 1" long and no hook
ends.
And yes, colors arte supposed to tell you something about the spring rate,
but I don't have that handy.
