Daniel -
Spring kits for Corvairs come with pins for the front shoes (2-3/16")
and for the rear shoes (about 2-7/16"). You throw away the ones that don't
apply to the axle you're doing, or save them for later. If you've still got
the kits, go through all eight pins supplied for the axle. You'll find four
of them longer. Use those for the rear.

Subject: <VV> Brake shoes hold down pins

Do somebody have at hand the length of the brake shoes' hold down pins
for
a late model (rear) ? Mine are 2 3/16" but seem to be short as it was hard
to
put them in place and springs look too much compressed. These are the pieces
that look like nails with a flatened tip.
As always... thanks for any input.
