I am 57 (had to think about it for a bit) but I have been old since I was
21. Vietnam didn't let you stay young.
The first car I drove on the road was a nice new '62 Corvair, when I was 14,
but I didn't get my own until 1967, when I aquired a '65 Monza 4-door auto.
Learned to drive it on mountain roads in West Virginia where handling really
counts. I now have my 4th and 5th Corvairs, after about 3 years ago spotting
a Corvair on the side of  the road with a "For Sale" sign. Even joined the
Arkansas Corvair Club while looking for the right Corvair, then working on
it until it was ready for the road.
