I made up 4 (wire screen only) air filters. Each carb had its own filter. They 
were made from soda fountain metal cup holders. The base fit snug over the carb 
top. You had to remove an aluminum nub on the top of each stock carb for 
the "filter unit" to fit on. I then epoxied a screen filter on the top of 
each "filter unit". Its similar to what racing engines use on the SU carbs.
So it looked like an ice cream scoupe on top & a circular base. This of couse 
was during Corvair production years & along time ago!
