FYI

Studded tires are banned in Ontario. All year. I think
this is the only spot in North America where this is
true. Safety in Ontario takes a back seat to making
roads last longer.

Given the superior traction they deliver and your
experience driving "North of Superior" (It is
beautiful) I'm sure you agree that this ban makes no
sense. Just be pleased you were not fined.
