The July '68 Hot Rod, in the "Poor Man's Porsche" series, lists a stock 
140 at 17.6 seconds in the quarter mile. They gave no speed. At the end 
of the three series of articles, they boasted quarter mile time as 14.9 
seconds with a single four barrel, Thomas heads, IECO Dyno Pak and exhaust.
