I'd propose that a better way is for the originator to then post a
summary - which is in fact what we suggest in the monthly guidelines.
This, BTW, is the way it's done on several lists I've been on (all of
which pre-date Yahoo groups, etc.). It is possible on this list to get
ten answers all suggesting the same thing. We don't really need all
those filling up the archive, but you're correct, we do want the answer
in the archive. It is, also, useful sometimes to get the ten answers
and seeing them on the list may keep someone from sending that to the
poster.
