<VV> Paint Codes..

The Paint Code is on the body tag on the rear frame rail of the engine compartment just to the right of centre. I'd agree with Matt though, that colour seems to have too much metallic in it to be an original colour. Not only that, only 4 door sedans were available in two tone (in Lates), so there is a decent chance the car has been repainted (at least the roof has been).

The CORSA Tech Guide has a complete listing for decoding Paint Codes (except some Cdn built 'vairs... GRRR) As does Tony Fiore's excellent book "The Corvair Decade", with paint colour samples as well. (reprinted editions just came out)

Sierra Tan would be paint code "S" and the Fawn interior would be "702"

Look for the Fisher Body Tag in the engine compartment.
