Can anyone please tell me what a '65 telescopic column with a  wooden
steering is worth ?

Dorai, it entirely depends on if you are buying or selling. There is a guy
listed in the Communique who is always offering to buy them. He in turn
sells them to the Corvette guys as the Corvette Column is very similar. The
Corvette guys may well pay $900+ for one The value of the wheel depends on
condition as well. Even cracked ones can be repaired and refinished at a
cost of $300 +, so if it is cracked it is more a core value, considerably
less.

Corvair people have been known to pay in the range of $250 and upwards,
depending on condition and how bad they want it.

Every once in awhile there are deals to be had, but not too often........
