I'm afraid I'll have to come down on the side of the kids on this one. If
we complain when the "authorities" want to confiscate our parts cars or
future projects because the sight of them offends some flaky neighbor, then
we're obligated to support the kids when those same authorities go after
them. Car audio is no less legitimate as a hobby than what most of us do,
and its practice does no more harm.

You may be familiar with the following quote from Pastor Martin Niemoller.
"When the Nazis came for the communists, I did not speak out because I was
not a communist. When they came for the trade unionists, I did not speak out
because I was not a trade unionist. When they came for the Catholics, I did
not speak out because I was a not a Catholic. When they came for the Jews, I
did not speak out because I was a not a Jew. Then they came for me, and there
was no one left to speak for me."

My two cents:
Now they're coming for the loud stereos, maybe for aftermarket exhausts.
Those air-cooled motored cars are noisy, no water cooling to deaden the sound -
And I don't like them, maybe they roll over! Who will speak for us?
