Things ARE progressing on converting some portions of the VHS tapes to DVD.
Initially there were both equipment and software issues. Those have been
solved.

So far, 10 minutes of DVD have been completed. It is taking about 4 hours
for each minute - so there is 40 hours into the project AFTER the initial
issues were solved. I don't know at this point how long the final product
will run.

I did see the first 10 minutes today - how appropriate - on July 4th! The
original tapes were made on July 4 over a number of years. Even though we
are working from originals, it seems that there is some (not serious)
degradation of the VHS version over the years. So, it is probably a good
thing that at least some of this is being transferred to electronic media.

The DVD version starts out with an explanation from lclc on how the whole
idea got started. When I hear more on the progress of this project, I'll
let you folks know about it.

I found some of the hair styles to be "interesting" - I'm talking about on
the GUYS!
