<VV> RE; (VV) Westward Ho!

Fellow travelers:

With just two weeks to go before the big one in
Portland there will dozens of out Merry Band taking
the trails that Lewis  & Clark once trod.

For those of us sedentary slugs who are not making the
trip, our fellow travelers could give us a wonderful,
voyeuristic, adventure if they would just post daily
about their progress. 

Sure there will be the cockamamie mistakes and odd
happenings both on and off the road, but what I'd like
to hear are the everyday, mundane, details of what
it's like to cross the broad expanses of the American
Midwest and far west in 40-year-old cars, either
singly or in groups.

You could consider using Westward Ho! as the universal
banner for the trip postings and we homebodies would
all, then, be able to home in on a single thread for
what will prove to be an exciting, enchanging, series
of stories.
