Speaking of which:

I recently acquired a dune buggy chassis from another list member.   It's a 
dedicated Corvair chassis, built specifically to accept front and rear Vair 
suspension components and driveline.   It's also a rather robust item, made 
of 3" thick-wall seamless steel tube.    The whole thing looks tough enough 
to enter a desert race while dragging a dead rhino behind it.


Anybody have any ideas of who might have manufactured something like 
this?   It does appear to be rather well made.  Nothing in it like an ID 
tag or a number or anything.   Any hints would be appreciated... and if 
need be I can supply a photo or three.
