<VV> Carb Kit Watchout

I recently became aware of a problem with some Rochester H/HV carburetor kits
that are on the market. I make up my own kits, so it wasn't until I bought
The Corvair Doctor's remaining inventory that I found the problem. These were
all Walker kits and some had inlet valve kits numbered 31-514, which have a
.086" opening, and some had inlet kits numbered 31-523, which have a .101"
opening. I guess either is okay, as our carbs originally came with the smaller inlet,
but I don't recommend mixing them, and only use the larger ones on my
rebuilds. I'm not sure of the problems it might cause, but why test it? I highly
recommend you check the numbers if you purchase aftermarket kits from anyone.
